The North Harbour club was established on 18 May, 1995.
Originally, a group of North Shore business people met and established a constitution with the objectives below:
To qualify for the AIMES Awards, recipients must have shown outstanding ability or potential in the areas of the arts, information technology, music, education, sport.

ANDREA DAVIES Andrea is currently the Campus Registrar at Massey University’s Albany campus. She has completed a BBS and an MBA at Massey University. She is passionate about Auckland, particularly North of the Harbour Bridge. She loves living on the North Shore because of its positive attitude and wonderful opportunities. Physically active, Andrea is a keen cyclist, rides a 650cc Hyundai motorcycle and enjoys the solitude of gardening. Jazz is her passion and when she thinks no-one is listening, can be heard tinkering the ivories. Andrea very much enjoys the privilege of being an AIMES judge and continues to be humbled by the tremendous number of talented young people living in the North Harbour region. |

SUE STANAWAY Sue is a Director and Licensee for Bayleys Residential Real Estate with 3 offices on the North Shore, and has 27 years experience in the real estate industry. With her passion for supporting improvement of the North Shore her Company won the Enterprise North Shore “Contribution to the Community” award in 2007. Prior to her real estate career, Sue worked in radio, was a professional compare and competition judge, and has an ATCL in Speech and Drama. With active personal interests in tennis, golf, squash and netball, Sue supports and applauds those striving to achieve excellence through the Aimes Awards, and as a judge is proud to be part of assisting young talented North Shore people to reach their full potential and achieve their goals. |

MIKE STANLEY Mike is the CEO of the Millennium Institute of Sport & Health in Mairangi Bay. He has been a Club Member since 2003, and joins the Judging Panel in 2011. MikE brings to the AIMES judging panel an outstanding array of credentials and experience including a 30-year association with rowing and a long relationship with the Olympic movement in New Zealand. He was a member of the rowing eight finishing 4th at the 1984 Olympic Games, and winner of two world championship gold medals for rowing. He was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Mike has also been a board member for the NZ Olympic Committee and the NZ Academy of Sport North Island, and was a member of the 2010 World Rowing Championships organising committee. He was Chief Executive of Rowing New Zealand from 1994-2003. |
